Saturday morning the parking lot was full and so was the gymnasium at Zion Lutheran School as scores of people flocked to the school for their annual pancake and sausage breakfast.

Principal Steve Schumacher was on hand talking to folks as they came in and promoting the school's gift card program.

If you need gift cards for any occasion, ZLS has a program where you can buy cards, and the school will receive a rebate for each card they sell.

A special thanks to the table sponsors of this year's event.

Volunteers help in a multitude of ways,  from selling tickets ...

... to keeping plates filled with hot pancakes and sausage.

Other fundraising events going on at the same time included a bake sale with some fabulous-looking sweet treats available.

Another aspect of the day was a gigantic silent auction. Tables of items lined three walls of the gym.

Shoppers check out some of the items on display.
