MOUNT PULASKI -- On a final note... Some of the parents of the Cougar seniors were wearing T-shirts that read "IC One Final Run," and as Mason City coach Giesler boarded the team bus after the win, I wished him the best of luck in that run toward a state title. He has a very talented group of seniors who have played together a long time and who are also very dedicated to the game of basketball. That's a great combination for winning. Go, Cougars!

Matthew Amidon thinks twice before making a move on IC's Duncan McClure.

Blake Collier and IC's Ean Albers got a little tied up, and the result was a foul on Collier.

That's a win for the Illini Central Cougars, who are ranked No. 2 in the Class 1A state basketball poll.
