The energy was high and the smiles wide at the second annual Sweetheart Dance on Sunday afternoon. The event hosted by the Lincoln Park District was another huge success, with over 100 moms and dads who brought their sons and daughters, dressed in their finest.

On Saturday afternoon, park district director Marsha Greenslate was busy making pink jello desserts to serve to guests.

A perfect backdrop for having a picture taken of the darling couples.

Greenslate said that by noon Saturday, much of the decorating was finished.  Snack favors were at each seat, and more snacks would be added in a buffet format on Sunday.

On Sunday, guests enjoyed a variety of tasty treats.
