4-H spaghetti dinner fundraiser sees one of its largest turnouts ever

According to Amy Hyde of the Logan County Extension office, this was one of the biggest years the group has ever seen. She said one of her big concerns during the day was trying to keep enough spaghetti cooked.

"We were running out before we could get the next batches done. I went out to see how people were doing and saw that everyone was visiting and laughing and having a good time, so I guess they didn't mind waiting a little bit," she said.

Patty Huffer of the Extension takes a quick look at the silent auction items.

In addition to the dinner, there was a silent auction with a large number of items available for bidding.
 

While some had finished their meal and were checking out the silent auction ...


No standing in line for this little gal! Plus, from her lofty height, she can see everything that is going on.

... others were taking the opportunity to just relax and visit a bit.


These fellas are ready for a plate full of spaghetti, then on to chocolate cake, cookies or some other sweet treat.
 

 


Tracy Rawlins was one of several parent volunteers helping out in the kitchen. She spent a lot of time refilling the dessert table and also helping get carryout orders ready.
