LJHS volleyball results

[February 14, 2013]  The Lincoln Junior High volleyball team played two matches this week. Monday they faced Champaign Franklin, and their match Tuesday was against Argenta-Oreana.

Seventh grade

The seventh-grade team beat Franklin in two games 25-12, 25-13. The player stats from that match are:

  • Lexi Clark -- 15 service points, 9 aces

  • Emma Cline -- 8 service points, 2 aces

  • Grace Bossingham -- 4 aces, 2 kills

  • Kerstin Osborne -- 2 kills and 3 aces

Against Argenta, LJHS seventh-graders won in two games 25-14, 25-16. The player stats for the match are:

  • Grace Bossingham -- 2 kills, 1 ace, 5 service points

  • Ariana Spencer -- 1 kill

  • Allena Benninger -- 1 kill

  • Lexi Clark -- 1 kill, 3 assist, 2 aces, 7 service points

  • Kerstin Osborne -- 3 aces, 9 service points

  • Emma Cline -- 2 aces

The seventh-graders now have a record of 8-5.

Eighth grade

The LJHS eighth-grade team also beat Franklin in two games, by scores of 25-21 and 25-16. The player stats for that match are:

  • Josalyn Owens -- 6 service points

  • Emma Bergman -- 10 service points, 7 assists, 4 aces

  • Danielle D'Andrea -- 3 kills, 1 ace, 5 digs, 3 blocks

  • Rylee Mills -- 3 kills

Against Argenta, the LJHS eighth grade won in two games 25-18, 25-23. The player stats for the match are:

  • Danielle D'Andrea -- 5 digs, 3 kills

  • Kaelin Butterfield -- 2 digs

  • Emma Bergman -- 2 digs, 2 aces, 6 service points

  • Rylee Mills -- 5 kills

  • Erika Dzkeunskas -- 3 aces

  • Josalyn Owens -- 11 service points, 2 aces

The eighth-grade team now has a record of 9-7.
