WLB boys sweep 3 at home

[February 14, 2013]  West Lincoln-Broadwell hosted Chester-East and Mount Pulaski on Wednesday night and won three times.

In the first contest, the Wolverines (1-1) defeated the CEL Panthers 38-19. Kaden Froebe led all scorers with 13 points while Payton Batley contributed 11. Also scoring for the Wolverines were Shane Shumard with six, Justin Long with four, and Virat Patel and Kameron Whiteman added two each. Nick Krumrie scored 12 in the loss for the Panthers while Will Ewald added seven.

In the second contest, WLB (2-0) knocked off Mount Pulaski's fifth-grade squad 38-19. Kaden Froebe poured in 19 points to lead the way, with Payton Anderson netting 13. Also scoring for the Wolverines were Dreyden Pozsgai with 10, Kameron Whiteman with seven, Justin Long with six and Brayden Alexander with two.

For the nightcap, West Lincoln (2-1) won the sixth-grade contest 51-21 over the Bruins. Scoring for the Wolverines were Froebe with 23, Batley with 11, Shumard with six, Whiteman with four, Pozsgai with three, and Patel and Long with two each.

The Wolverines host Tremont on Thursday, with a 6 p.m. starting time, and Pekin on Sunday, with a 4 p.m. start.
