This is an exciting time for Logan County basketball fans. The Mount Pulaski girls' team is headed to state today, and the town, even the whole county, is waiting and watching to see what will happen. If the girls win, it will be another history-making victory, the victory to end all victories for the 2012-13 team.

Today, Mount Pulaski plays Cowden-Herrick, and Freeport plays Annawan. The winners of those two games will play Saturday at 2 p.m. for the state championship.

This shot provided by Debbie Olden is the winning shot by Tyler Horchem at last Saturday's game against Moline. We want to ask you to click on the picture and really look at the reactions of the crowd, the cheerleaders and the team as the ball flies through the air, headed for a three-point win in overtime. The Railers will see sectional play next week.
