Illinois country grain prices were mixed on Monday afternoon, with corn higher and wheat and soybean futures lower.

Wheat futures weakened due to poor export news and beneficial moisture in the forecast for the Plains states.

Corn moved up on technical buying at the Board of Trade and good export news.

In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids were mostly 3 to 4 cents higher at 6.86-7.02.

Soybean bids were 10 to 12 cents lower at 14.36-14.49.

In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids were 3 to 4 cents higher at 6.94-7.14.

Soybean bids were down 10 to 11 cents
at 14.54-14.63.
