After dinner, Michelle Ramlow presented each department with a certificate of appreciation from the VFW organization. All the awardees had a representative in attendance with the exception of the city of Lincoln Fire Department.

Lincoln Police Department Chief Ken Greenslate, upon accepting his certificate, took a moment to say a special thanks to the VFW and the volunteers who prepared and served the meal. He said their efforts were greatly appreciated.
