BEASON -- Jerry E. Overbey, 73, of
Beason, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at 7:06 a.m. at Memorial
Medical Center in Springfield.

Jerry E. Overbey, 73, of Beason died at 7:06 A.M.
Sunday December 30, 2012 at
Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Jerry was born on June 2, 1939 in Cornland, IL to
Marion E. and Marguerite Laughner Overbey. He worked
at Stetson China and Pittsburg Plate Glass in
Lincoln for many years and was most recently the
road commissioner of Oran Township in Logan County.
He married Ethel Van Fossan on October 4, 1958
in Lincoln. She survives.
Also surviving is one daughter, Becky (Gary) Boyer
of Middletown, one son Jason (Cherrilyn) Overbey of
Beason, two sisters, Marian Howerton and Emma Mae
Boyd of Lincoln and one brother Guy Overbey also of
Lincoln, seven grandchildren, Allen (Cindy) Boyer,
Cory Boyer, Tosha Boyer, Teresa Overbey,
Randy Overbey, Amy Jo Overbey and Caitlyn Sutton,
and seven great-grandchildren, Jessica (Cory)
Sizemore, Breanna Simmons, Hanna Boyer, Raige
Barger, Zach Barger, Kylie Boyer and Lexy Boyer.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services for Jerry will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday January
3, 2013 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at
the funeral home. Burial will be at Harmony Cemetery in Beason. Memorials may be made to Beason Fire and Rescue. |
