No phone access to local recorded forecast and climate information

[January 09, 2013]  Updates to the recorded forecast and climate statistics from the Lincoln National Weather Service office, normally available at 217-732-7321, will not be available until further notice. This is due to a failure of the computer that processes the messages for the forecast line. The latest forecast and climate information is still available on the Lincoln NWS home page, http://www.crh.noaa.gov/ilx/.

This same computer also normally processes messages for the nine NOAA Weather Radio stations operated by the Lincoln NWS. The radio broadcast remains available and is updating; however, it is using a different synthesized voice than usual for its products. Also, MP3 files that normally are posted on the Lincoln NWS home page will not be updated due to this outage.
