[January 10, 2013]  ISLAMABAD (AP) -- The Pakistani army says one of its soldiers was killed when Indian troops fired at a post across the disputed Kashmir border.

The army says the "unprovoked" shooting occurred Thursday afternoon.

It is the third incident of violence across the Kashmir border in recent days, raising tension between archenemies Pakistan and India.

The two countries have fought three major wars since they achieved independence from British India in 1947, two of them over Kashmir.
