Saturday the Lincoln Kiwanis hosted the club's annual chili soup and oyster stew fundraiser at the American Legion banquet hall in Lincoln.

Folks who ventured out for the lunchtime fundraiser enjoyed hearty bowls of soup along with a wide variety of desserts and a beverage, for a minimal cost.

The Kiwanis organization is dedicated to serving and acknowledging local youth. The funds raised through activities such as the soup lunch go to support programs such as the Community Action Summer Day Camp, as well as scholarship programs for local students. The club also supports the annual Easter egg hunt at the Lincoln Park District and sponsors awards for 4-H programs during the Logan County Fair.
