Growing unusual vegetables

Want to learn more about some unusual
vegetables to consider for the next growing season? On Feb. 5 from 6
to 7:30 p.m., the University of Illinois Extension will offer a
webinar exploring some new and unusual vegetables for growers to
consider.

The webinar will discuss varieties (tomatillos, arugula, chois,
edamame, sprouts, Swiss chard, Jerusalem artichoke, bitter
melon, salsify, celeriac, ginger, turmeric), color variations of
vegetables and baby vegetables. Participants can log on from
home or attend at the Springfield office, 700 S. Airport Drive.
The program is free of charge.
