MOUNT PULASKI -- Ruth McCormick, 89, of
Mount Pulaski, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at 12:05 a.m. at
Vonderlieth Living Center.

Mt. Pulaski: Ruth McCormick, 89, of Mt. Pulaski,
passed away at 12:05 a.m. January 13, 2013 at
Vonderlieth Living Center in Mt. Pulaski.
Ruth was born on December 18, 1923 in Mt. Pulaski,
the daughter of August and Orena Tendick Hahn. She
married Donald E. McCormick on February 25, 1945 in
Mt. Pulaski. He preceded her in death on September
7, 2010. She was a housewife and was a retired
farmer, working alongside her husband for many
years. She was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran
Church in Mt. Pulaski and was also a member of
Lutheran Women's Missionary League.

Surviving her are two sons, James D. (Sara)
McCormick and Mark (Heidi) McCormick, both of Mt. Pulaski,
two daughters, Beverly (Trent) Keller and Carolyn (Steve)
Kolbus, both of Bloomington, a daughter-in-law, Denise
McCormick of Concord, CA, eight grandchildren, Jamie
McCormick of Carson City, NV, Ann, Rachel and Elyse
McCormick of Mt. Pulaski, IL, Lisa McCormick of Concord, CA,
Kristen Kolbus of Bloomington, IL, Alan Keller of Little
Rock, AR, and Eric (Ashley) Keller of Bloomington, IL, three
great grandchildren, Katie Keller of Little Rock, AR, Daniel
McCormick of Mt. Pulaski, and Ryan Keller of Bloomington,
IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers
and one son Bill.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday January 22, 2013 at
Zion Lutheran Church in Mt. Pulaski with Rev. Christopher
Decker officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m.
prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at
Mt. Pulaski Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran
Church, Zion Lutheran School or Vonderlieth Living Center.
Arrangements were entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski.
