WLB closes regular season with 8th-grade win in Springfield

[January 17, 2013]  SPRINGFIELD -- West Lincoln-Broadwell's eighth-grade Wolverines (11-3) wrapped up their regular season on the road at Springfield Little Flower with a 37-32 win over the Falcons. Alex O'Donoghue led the way with 17 points and 14 rebounds. Preston Ebelherr added five points while Nate Sprague, Casey Mollohan and Zac Montcalm each added four.

The seventh-grade team (6-10) lost 43-32. Zach Morris led the Wolverines in scoring with 12 points while grabbing 11 rebounds. Jack Eimer contributed with 10 points, while Blain Robbins, Carter McCraith, Jake McCray, Hari Patel and Payton Batley had two points each.

The eighth-grade Wolverines next play in the Logan County Conference championship Thursday night at 7:15 at Jack D Nutt Arena on the campus of Lincoln College. The seventh-grade team resumes postseason play next week in the second round of the 7-1A Regional 10 with a Wednesday game versus their crosstown rivals, the Chester-East Panthers. The regional is hosted by WLB.
