A lot of exciting things are going on at the Atlanta Public Library these days. Cathy Maciariello was recently appointed director of community programs and has been bringing some very interesting speakers to the library for special events.

Now another special event is planned, a fundraiser that will help convert the library basement into a wonderful child-friendly place for kids to learn to love books and take part in the adventures that come with expanding their imaginations.

On Feb. 16  there will be a fundraiser at the Red Wing Bowl in Atlanta called "Bowling for Books." The public is invited to come out for a fun evening at the bowling alley and support a worthy cause that will benefit the children in the Atlanta Library District.
