Joe Kath, endangered species program manager for the Illinois
Department of Natural Resources, will give a presentation about bats
and highlight those that might be caught during the evening. Then
the group will use a bat detector and mist-nets to locate and
(hopefully!) capture bats feeding along Timber Creek. Participants
will receive bat-related resources and feast on a batty snack.
The fee is $5 for members of the nature center and $7 per person
for nonmembers. Registration is required. For more information or to
register, call 309-874-2174 or email
register@sugargrovenaturecenter.org.
