[July 09, 2013]  Due to generous grants from the Lincoln-based Woods Foundation and the Decatur-based Energy Assistance Foundation, as well as donations from the Lincoln community, Together for Lincoln is offering whole-house window replacement completely free of charge to a limited number of applicants. Those interested in applying should complete a weatherization application. In order to be considered for weatherization assistance, applications must be fully completed and turned in by Monday, July 15.

Together for Lincoln is also offering general home improvement, including washing windows, cleaning out gutters and interior painting, to residents of the Lincoln community. Those interested in applying for help should fill out a home improvement application and return it by Aug. 1.

Together for Lincoln is a community-based organization that relies solely on the help of volunteers. Anyone interested in helping is asked to fill out a volunteer application. In order to assign volunteers to the project that would best fit them, volunteer applications are due on Aug. 19.

All three applications can be picked up at the State Bank of Lincoln Wal-Mart branch or at any partner churches. All Together for Lincoln service projects will be completed on Sunday, Sept. 22.
