LINCOLN-Helen Marie Buse, 88, of Lincoln died at 7:30 a.m. at Christian Village Friday, July 19, 2013.

Helen was born October 10, 1924 in Francisco, IN., the daughter of Arthur C. and Margaret Marie Wacaser Shilling. She married Thomas C. Deibert in July 1944. He was killed December 17, 1944 in W.W. II. She married Earl Buse August 29, 1946. They were married for 60 years. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents, two sisters: Maxine and Wyvona and brother: Harold.

Helen is survived by one son: Steven (Diane) Buse of Lincoln and one daughter: Susan Perdue of Lincoln; two grandchildren: Katie M. and Christopher C. Buse.

Helen attended Washington Grade School, Central School, and Lincoln Community High School for one year and graduated from Mt. Pulaski High School. She graduated from Deaconess Hospital Nursing School in 1945. She also attended Milwaukee Children's and Hines Hospital for surgery training while in nurses training. She was Operating Room Supervisor at Deaconess Hospital and Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital for forty years.

Graveside services for Helen will be Monday, July 22, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Zion Cemetery with Ron Otto officiating. Helen requested no visitation. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Lincoln. Memorials may be made to Christian Village. Services were entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
