To the editor:

Logan County Relay for Life co-chair Nicole Tripplett Lee and committee chairs met recently to hear the totals of the 2013 Relay for Life of Logan County held June 14 and 15 on Lincoln College campus in Lincoln.

The outdoor event was in celebration of the American Cancer Society's 100th anniversary and Logan County surpassing $1 million raised to find a cure for cancer.

Nine hundred seventy-three luminarias lined the walkway.

This year 28 teams and funds from sponsors and the auction raised $66,000.

Funds can still be added to this year's final amount until Aug. 31 by contacting Nicole Lee or any of the team captains.
