District 27 spelling winners

[June 01, 2013]  Classroom winners from fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth grade competed recently in the District 27 Spelling Bee at Lincoln Junior High School.

The champion speller was Hope Graber, a fifth-grader at Washington-Monroe.

Runner-up was Evan Zastrow, an eighth-grader at LJHS.

Ms. Elaine Knight, district librarian, pronounced the words. Other judges for the bee were Ms. Marsha Dallas, district curriculum coordinator, and Dr. Mary Ahillen, district superintendent.
