[June 08, 2013]  Lincoln College is planning another Caribbean cruise getaway. The eight-night eastern Caribbean adventure departs from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on March 1 and returns March 9, 2014. The trip is open to the public.

The cruise will visit four ports of call: St. Kitts, St. Maarten, San Juan and Labadee, a Royal Caribbean private island. Cruise-goers will sail on Royal Caribbean's cruise ship Independence of the Seas.

Space and current double-occupancy rates of $750 for an inside cabin up to $1,410 for a balcony cabin are guaranteed through Aug. 1. Additional discounts of $70 to $90 per person may be available for reservations booked prior to June 12, so early reservations are recommended. Every stateroom in the Lincoln College group will receive a $50 onboard credit. Pay a small deposit now with final payment due by Dec. 16.

Kerri Taylor, Lincoln College alumni relations and special events coordinator, said: "It will be a fabulous vacation. The ship is part of the RCI's Freedom Class, which is the second-largest in their fleet. It's a great ship with lots of things to do on it, such as a mini golf course, rock climbing wall, basketball, ice skating, shopping, fabulous entertainment, casino and much more.

"Grab your family and friends and set sail with us on this adventure. Our limited blocked space won't last much longer. We look forward to an unforgettable week of chasing our winter blues away with the sun and surf in the beautiful Caribbean! We hope you'll join us!"
