The women's team was 18th with a team GPA of 3.39. Academic All-Americans for the women's team were Kayla Carrell, Bartonville; Hannah Singleton, South Pekin; Tykeshia Thompson, Akron, Ohio; Jessica Browder, Bartonville; and Rachel Whittaker, Akron, Ohio.

Coach Herron of LC said: "I am very proud of the work our team has done in the classroom. This marks the second year in a row that both teams have been Academic All-Americans. It is a trend that I hope will continue for a long time. It goes to show that a student or team can be both successful in the classroom and in their sport. It just requires more energy and effort."
