Springfield Clinic to provide dietetics & nutrition services in Lincoln

[March 01, 2013]  Amanda Novy, M.S., R.D., L.D.N., a registered dietitian with Springfield Clinic, will provide additional services in Lincoln as part of Springfield Clinic's Outreach Specialty Services program.

Registered dietitians are experts in food and nutrition who can translate the science of nutrition into practical solutions for healthy living. With their nutrition expertise, they can help individuals make unique, positive lifestyle changes.

Education and nutritional counseling is provided for but not limited to:

  • Diabetes

  • Heart disease

  • Hypertension

  • High cholesterol

  • Adult and pediatric weight management

  • Metabolic syndrome

  • Food allergies

  • Kidney disease

  • Eating disorders

  • Athletic performance

  • Healthy aging and wellness

Novy received her training in dietetics at Illinois State University in Normal. She offers comprehensive nutritional assessment, education and counseling, with special interests in the areas of weight management, women's health, heart disease and diabetes. Her personal technique in helping patients improve their quality of life at any stage involves motivation, accountability, evidenced-based practice and positive guidance.

Novy will provide services at Springfield Clinic Lincoln, 100 Stahlhut Drive, every first Thursday of each month.
