[March 09, 2013]  There's a "Seed Starting" seminar in Lincoln this week, just in time to get you thinking about starting bedding plants indoors for the coming garden season.

The seminar will be presented Thursday at 6 p.m. at the University of Illinois Extension building, 980 N. Postville Drive, and is offered by the Logan-Menard-Sangamon Extension Unit.

Jennifer Fishburn, U of I Extension horticulture educator, and Lisa Wrage and Mary Moore, with the Master Gardener program, will provide information on what you need to do to get started and how to keep your seedlings growing up to planting time. Seed selection, timing, materials and equipment will all be discussed.

For more information, call 217-732-8289.
