Hartsburg-Emden FFA news

[March 16, 2013]  HARTSBURG -- Hartsburg-Emden FFA member Meg Meeker was selected as the Section 14 winner in prepared public speaking. Her topic was the use of gestation stalls in swine production. She now proceeds to district competition in April.

Six Hartsburg-Emden FFA members were chosen as Section 14 proficiency winners with their record book entries. Section winners were Cole Baker in beef production, placement; Cody Conrady, outdoor recreation; Dirk Conrady, soybean production; Noah Cross, ag machinery and repair; Kaleb Hoerbert, dairy; and Robby Meeker, swine production.

The following individuals were chosen as District 3 winners and will now proceed to state competition on April 6: Cody Conrady, Dirk Conrady, Noah Cross and Kaleb Hoerbert. Cody Conrady was also chosen for the District 3 Star Award in ag business, placement.
