[March 16, 2013]  The Salvation Army in Lincoln is once again this year planning a trip to a free summer camp for area youth.

This year the event will be a sports camp for boys and girls 8-11 years old. The camp is scheduled for June 10-14 at Eagle Crest Camp, just an hour and 15 minutes from Lincoln.

Eagle Crest is a Salvation Army-owned facility with air-conditioned shelters and common areas on a 300-acre wooded campus.

Food, lodging, activities and transportation to the camp are free of charge for any age-appropriate child who wishes to attend, regardless of financial status.

Anyone who would be interested in helping support this great opportunity for area children can get more information from Tony Shuff at the Keest Center in Lincoln.
