Rachel Durchholz is the MPHS March Senior-of-the-Month

[March 19, 2013]  MOUNT PULASKI -- Rachel Durchholz has been named March Senior-of-the-Month at Mount Pulaski High School. Rachel is the daughter of Dan and Teresa Durchholz of Elkhart.

Rachel has been a high honor roll student throughout high school. She is a member of National Honor Society, Spirit Squad and Spanish Club. She participated on the Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering team and served on Prom Committee. She was also elected to the homecoming court.

Rachel was a four-year member of the award-winning Lady Toppers volleyball team.

In the community, she coached and refereed junior high volleyball for four years. She attended Catholic HEART Workcamp, and she was a Bible school teacher and an altar server at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, where she is also a member of the youth group.

Rachel plans to attend Maryville University to major in physical therapy.

The Senior-of-the-Month program is sponsored by Johnson's Food Center and Mount Pulaski Pharmacy. Monthly winners receive $50 toward educational expenses and are eligible to compete for the $500 Senior-of-the-Year award.
