Evalyn 'Mac' Baker

[March 20, 2013]  LINCOLN -- Evalyn L. Baker, 89, of Lincoln, died Saturday, March 16, 2013, at 8:40 a.m. at St. Clara's Manor.

Lincoln- Evalyn L. "Mac" Baker, 89, of Lincoln passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 8:40 a.m. at St. Clara's Manor Nursing Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial Service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lincoln with Rev. Jeffrey G. Laible officiating.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Lincoln.

Evalyn Louise McAfee was born on March 24, 1923 in Lincoln the daughter of Everett J. and Irene Bentley McAfee. She married Wilbur Baker on May 23, 1986 in Springfield. He preceded her in death on January 21, 2011.

Surviving Mrs. Baker are one son: James (Elizabeth) Moos of Huntington Beach, Ca., Step children: Ron (Jean) Hall, Randy (Nettie) Hall both of Lincoln, Pam (Dean) Huston of Springfield, Four grandchildren: Damian Moos, John Moos, Jordan Moos and Jacob Moos.
FIve great grandchildren: Ethan, Averi, Charlotte, Delilah, and Devin. Six step grandchildren: Rachel Hall, Angie Snell, Lisa Webster, Nicole Huston, Aric Monkman, Kevin Monkman, Six step great grandchildren: J.D. Snell, Bailey Snell, Justin Boston, Cody Huston, Haylee Huston, Zoey Huston.

Funeral Director

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Mrs. Baker retired from the Logan County Circuit Clerk's Office.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carroll Catholic School or Holy Family Catholic Church.
