Possible sinkhole drives families from Fla. duplex

[March 27, 2013]  SEFFNER, Fla. (AP) -- A sinkhole has forced two families from their Florida duplex in the same area where another sinkhole opened under a man's bedroom, killing him less than a month ago.

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue crews responded to 911 call Tuesday evening. Spokesman Ronnie Rivera says the duplex has buckled floors and cracked walls. But no sinkhole was visible.

Officials say the soil was soft around the home. They recommended that the residents spend the night somewhere else.

The Tampa Bay Times (http://bit.ly/XGeuSg) reports a soil sampling crew will test the ground under the home Wednesday.

The American Red Cross assisted the families in finding a place to stay.

The home is three miles from the spot where 37-year-old Jeffery Bush died after a sinkhole swallowed a portion of his home.
