Wallace K. Ashby, 95 of Clinton, IL passed away 1:59
P.M. March 27, 2013 at Lincoln Christian Village,
Lincoln, IL.
Graveside services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, March
30, 2013 at the Evergreen Cemetery, Waynesville, IL
with Rev. Ralph Deming officiating. Visitation will
be 1:30 – 2:30 P.M. Saturday at Calvert Funeral
Home, Clinton, IL. Memorials may be made to the
First Baptist Church, 222 North Morgan Street, Mason
City, IL 62664.
Wallace was born August 3, 1917 in Logan County,
Kentucky the son of James H. and Elizabeth (Chapman)
Ashby. He marred Ellie Mae Farmer December 11, 1937
in Russellville, KY. She passed away November 25,
1997.
Survivors include his son Jerry Ashby, Hallsville,
IL; 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 2
great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death
by his parents, 2 sons: Wallace Franklin Ashby and
James G. Ashby and his brothers and sisters.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church,
Clinton, IL and enjoyed gardening.
