After lunch was completed, the group was treated to a speech by Lincoln College President John Blackburn. Blackburn was introduced by longtime friend Joe Ryan.

When he took the podium, Blackburn drew many a chuckle from the group as he mixed humorous anecdotes with his take on what makes an exceptional administrative assistant.

At the end of the day there were drawings for door prizes, and the chamber executive director, Andi Hake, introduced this year's Office Professional of the Year.

During her introduction, McCabe came to realize that it was she Hake was speaking of. Genuinely surprised and a bit emotional, McCabe graciously accepted a plaque from Hake. Also present for that presentation was Chief of Police Ken Greenslate.

Afterward McCabe posed for shots with Greenslate, Deputy Chief Mike Geriets and Hake.
