Mother's Day celebrated at Miller Park Zoo

On Sunday, moms get free admission

[May 10, 2013]  BLOOMINGTON -- Mom will get special treatment at Miller Park Zoo on Mother's Day. On Sunday, moms will receive free admission to the zoo with one paid admission for a child.

While there, moms and their families will be able to visit with the new harbor seals, Kash and McGraw. The two seals, both males, came to Miller Park Zoo less than a month ago. Guests can watch the zookeepers train them daily at 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.

In addition to this Mother's Day treat, Miller Park Zoo will host two other special events in May: Star Wars Day at the Zoo on May 11 from 1 to 3 p.m. and Endangered Species Day on May 18 from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Both are free with paid zoo admission.

Admission to Miller Park Zoo is $3.95 per person for ages 3-12 and seniors 60 and older, and adult admission is $5.95 per person. Admission for children under 3 is free. Parking is also free.
