The Humane Society of Logan County Garage Sale is quickly becoming the place to be in Lincoln on a weekend in May. This year's sale started Friday morning, and volunteers were kept running all morning long and into the afternoon.

Ellen Burbage, HSLC director, laughed and said that even though they had sold tons of stuff on Friday, there was still plenty left for Saturday shoppers.

The items sold at the annual sale are all donated to the HSLC. Volunteers work for weeks ahead of the sale collecting, organizing and pricing items.

When Friday morning arrives, it is almost standing room only in the beverage tent at the Logan County Fairgrounds as merchandise fills the building.

Friday afternoon with a misty rain, it was just a little chilly inside the beverage shelter.

Representatives from Community Action were on hand to talk to folks about their programs.

The "kitchen" crew takes a quick break after a busy morning and lunch hour.  The sale offered hot coffee, popcorn and other goodies.

A shopper roams through the masses of items to choose from.

Looks like someone found a treasure to take home.

Folks also had the chance to run into old friends and visit a spell.

What's that old slogan? "If we don't have it ... you don't need it!"
