Kenneth E. Meyer, 91, of Lincoln, died Saturday, May 25, 2013, at
6:02 p.m. in the emergency room at Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital.

LINCOLN-Kenneth E. Meyer, 91, of Lincoln died on
Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 6:02 p.m. at Abraham
Lincoln Memorial Hospital Emergency Room, Lincoln.
Kenneth farmed for 30 years in the Hartsburg area.
For 25 years he was an Agent of Standard Oil Bulk
Plant in Lincoln and for 10 years worked in sales at
Marcotte International in Lincoln. Kenneth was
active in showing horses, watching horse shows, and
loved watching all sorts of basketball.
Kenneth was born July 6, 1921 in Hartsburg, IL the
son of Herman T. and Caroline Buckholz Meyer. He
married Betty Ann Brelsford on November 28, 1948 in
Lincoln. She survives in Lincoln.

Also surviving Kenneth is one daughter: Cynthia
Eimer of Germantown Hills, IL; two grandchildren:
Richard Eimer of East Peoria, IL ; Adrielle Eimer of
Schaumburg, IL; one great granddaughter: Aiyanna
Eimer of Schaumburg; and one brother: Elmond "Pick"
Meyer of New Holland and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two
brothers, one sister and one infant grandson.
Kenneth's wishes were to be cremated. No services
will be held. Memorials may be given in his name to
the American Heart Association or Logan County
Paramedics Association.
Arrangements were handled by
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
