The camp will be divided into two age groups. Students who will be
in first, second, third or fourth grade should plan to attend from 9
a.m. to noon each day. Those who will be in fifth, sixth, seventh or
eighth grade should plan to attend from 1 to 4 p.m. each day. The
camp is designed to teach basic and advanced skills of basketball
according to age and ability. Emphasis is placed on fundamentals,
with a great amount of personal instruction from the coaching staff
and players. The goal is to give individual attention on each of the
basketball fundamentals.
The camp does have space limitations, and all campers need to
preregister.
Students should bring with them shorts, socks and gym shoes. Only
gym shoes will be allowed on the courts. Locker rooms will be
available to the students.
Pat Lepper, the head basketball coach at Lincoln College, will be
the camp director this year.
"Lincoln College basketball camp is here," he said. "We are
extremely excited to reconnect with the returning campers and meet
new participants. I believe in developing the love for the game at a
young age. This camp will allow your child or children to develop
the passion for the game of basketball. I look forward to meeting
you at camp!"
Lepper has been coaching for six years at different collegiate
levels. The Lincoln College team finished the 2012-2013 season with
a record of 18-14. They also placed fourth overall in conference
play while falling one game short of the region championship. The
Lynx lost eight games by six points or less and feel they have
gained valuable experience for such a young team.
"We are really looking forward to the next season," Lepper said.
The Lynx will be hosting the Region 24 tournament in 2014.

The camp coach will be Tanner Morris. Morris is the assistant
basketball coach at Lincoln College. A young, energetic coach,
Morris has been around the game of basketball his entire life,
as his father, Bob Morris, Lincoln College Class of 1972, was an
NCAA Division I coach at Illinois State University.
Tanner Morris' other coaching experience includes work with
Illinois State University basketball camps, assistant coaching at
the junior high level and two years as an assistant girls’ coach at
University High School. He has worked at the Midwest Collegiate
basketball camp, where he helped lead individual workouts for
several D-I basketball players. In 2010, he was an assistant coach
at Howard College in Texas when they won the 2010 national
tournament. He then came to Lincoln College and was a part of the
2011 national championship as well. At Lincoln College, Morris was
fortunate enough to work with Florida State center and Lincoln
College alum Kiel Turpin.
"I am looking forward to seeing a lot of familiar faces at camp
this summer, as well many new faces," Morris said.
