The Lincoln Christian University
women's soccer team hosted the 2013 NCCAA Mid-West Regional Women's
Soccer Tournament on Friday and Saturday. In their first-round matchup,
they squared off against Grace Bible College from Grand Rapids, Mich.
The visitors pulled away in the second half to win 7-0.

In a rematch of a game that took place earlier this season, when LCU
dropped to Grace Bible College 12-1, LCU was able to hang tight with
Grace in the first half, going into intermission only down 2-0.
However, Grace came out and took the game in the second half, as
they rattled off five more goals. LCU senior goalie Ashlan Rose
(Chatham/Glenwood High) recorded 22 saves on the day.
LCU ends their season with a 6-7 mark, which has
been a remarkable turnaround from where the program was two
years before. In the last three seasons, the LCU women's soccer
program went from a 1-12 record, to a 4-9 record in 2012 and now
a 6-7 record this season. As LCU graduates eight seniors, they
will be looking to rebuild next fall.
