[November 05, 2013]  WASHINGTON (AP) -- A beaming President Barack Obama saluted the Stanley Cup winning Chicago Blackhawks at the White House on Monday -- a rare moment for a president hungry to see more victorious teams from his hometown.

The Blackhawks have been the only Chicago team to win championships during Obama's presidency. They also won in 2010.

Speaking of other Chicago teams, the president said, quote, "To the Bulls, Bears, Cubs, White Sox -- I am term-limited, so you guys have got to get moving. I need to see you here soon. Championships belong in Chicago."

Obama praised the Blackhawks not only for their skills on the ice but for their contributions to the community. Blackhawk players and staff visited troops and their families at Walter Reed Army Medical Center earlier in the day.
