No election in Illinois this month

[November 05, 2013]  Logan County Clerk Sally Litterly wants voters to know there is no election in November this year. Ms. Litterly said her office has received a few calls from voters wanting to know where they vote and who's on the ballot.

Many standard calendars list Tuesday, Nov. 5, as Election Day, but that's not the case in Illinois.

The next election will be the general primary on March 18, 2014, in which voters will vote within their party for the person or people they want to represent them in the November 2014 general election.

Petitions are now being circulated for placement on the ballot for the March primary, which leads to additional confusion in the electorate.
