As members of the National Honor Society, one requirement for students is that they participate in community service projects.

The local NHS has a history of being active in the city of Lincoln, and members have done multiple projects that help with downtown beautification.

Vinyard noted that in addition to the NHS doing the work, many of the tulip bulbs planted were provided by Lincoln aldermen. In addition, she pointed out that the signage at the parking lot has been redone and is looking very nice.
