[November 08, 2013]  The Lincoln College volleyball team ended their season on Wednesday with a disappointing five-set loss to Lewis and Clark Community College in the first round of the Region 24 postseason tournament.

In set four, LC jumped out to an early lead but could not put Lewis and Clark away and lost the set 20-25. In the deciding set to 15, the teams battled to a 10-10 tie, but Lewis and Clark was able to grab the momentum and won it 15-11.

LC finishes the season with an overall record of 17-21.

LC coach Mark Tippett commented: "This was a very frustrating way to end the season. We started out tight and nervous in the first set, but sets two and three showed that we were the stronger team. Lewis and Clark did not give up in set four, and I think we were surprised by the fact that they kept playing hard. We tightened up again and let them back in the match through serving errors and mental mistakes.

"Our team represented Lincoln College with class and good sportsmanship all year long. I am proud of how much we improved over the course of the year."
