The public is invited to the Ball Brothers Christmas Concert this Saturday, Nov. 23rd, at 7:00 p.m. The concert will be in the Family Life Center at Mt. Pulaski Christian Church, 114 N. Lafayette St. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. No charge, but a free will offering will be taken. Bring the whole family and enjoys the sights and sounds of Chrirtmas!

Because we live in a church saturated culture where Bibles can be accessed on our phones and there are churches on every corner, it is difficult to grasp that 2.7 billion people in the world have never heard the name of Jesus, have no access to a Bible, have no missionary, and may never hear the Gospel. Researchers have identified around 7,000 people groups with a total population of 2.7 billion as being unreached—this is approximately 40% of the world’s population! (source/resource http://www.joshuaproject.net/)

All of these numbers can seem like random statistics. What if there was a way to visualize the enormity of the task of reaching all of these people with the life-changing message of the Gospel? Imagine a 60 ft. wall containing a list of the 1,587 largest unreached people groups. This wall is called the Unleashed for the Unreached Prayer Wall and helps to make the enormous task before us of reaching the world for Christ visually memorable and calls believers to prayer.

The Unleashed for the Unreached Prayer Wall, previously featured at the North American Christian Convention and the International Conference on Missions, will be at Lincoln Christian Church, Wednesday, November 20 through Wednesday, November 27. During this week, we have planned multiple opportunities for you to interact with this prayer wall. Scheduled activities include:
• Wednesday, November 20 at 6:30 p.m.--Ah Ha Moment with Dr. Wayne Shaw
• Saturday, November 23 from 6:00 p.m.-7:45 p.m.--Unleashed for the Unreached seminar with Team Expansion President, Doug Lucas
• Sunday, November 24 at 8:15, 9:30, 11:00 a.m. Doug Lucas will be preaching
• Open Time for Prayer Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

• Additional prayer opportunities for individuals and groups will be available throughout the week. Don’t miss this opportunity to reach the world through prayer! Contact Lincoln Christian Church 217-732-7618 for more information or to schedule a time to come.

If you can’t come to any of the events, please check out the resources on http://www.joshuaproject.net/  where you can get a daily email reminder to pray about an unreached people group and find out more information about unreached peoples. If you would like to commit to praying for a specific unreached people group, check out the website http://www.u4theu.com/  and look for the form under contacts (http://www.u4theu.com/index.cfm?i=14872&mid=26&fid=6341) . You can also follow Unleashed for the Unreached or Unreached Peoples-Joshua Project on Facebook.

2nd Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner

Come and enjoy a Free Thanksgiving Meal on Sunday, November 24 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Open Arms Christian Fellowship.  Last year 300-400 people enjoyed this free meal and time of fellowship.  This year the church is preparing 20 Turkeys and all the fixings (mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, dressing and dessert.)  We are blessed to have Home Sweet Home Ministries of Bloomington/Mission Mart of Lincoln partnering with OACF in this community event.  All the funds from selling Turkey Cards at the Lincoln Mission Mart are staying in the Community helping with this meal and providing Thanksgiving meals to others in need in Lincoln and Logan County.  You can purchase a Turkey Card for $2.00 during normal business hours at Mission Mart and help others in our community.  Please spread the word and let others know of this Community Thanksgiving Dinner.  OACF is the church who annually brings you Family Fun Day.  The church is located at 311 Broadway in Lincoln.  You matter to God and you matter here!  Any questions, or for more information, call the church office at 217-732-4800.  Also, feel free to visit our website at www.oacflincoln.com
