[October 01, 2013]  The Lincoln Christian University men's soccer team played some of its best soccer during the first 20 minutes of Saturday's home game against Kuyper College. However, Kuyper pulled away to win 11-2.

LCU hung tough with Kuyper in the first 20 minutes of the game as LCU freshman goalie David Lucas (Hebron, Ind./Hebron High) had some stellar saves and the LCU offense took care of the ball in their offensive attack. When Kuyper began turning on their offensive attack, LCU could not handle it and Kuyper went into the half leading 4-1.

The second half did not help LCU as Kuyper went on to score seven more goals, compared with LCU's one, providing LCU with one of their most lopsided defeats of the year.

LCU senior forward Craig Hoskins (Bloomington/University High) provided the single goal in the first half, with an assist coming from sophomore mid-fielder Mitchel Burgener (Olney/East Richland High). Burgener also scored LCU's lone goal in the second half.
