It was a dark and stormy night... or at least showing signs that it could be, but that didn't stop several people from coming out to Postville Park for the city's second annual Community Night.

The event, hosted by the city of Lincoln, featured grilled hot dogs from the Lincoln Police Department, a buffet of sweet treats courtesy of the city clerk's office, and several emergency vehicles on hand for visitors to see up-close.

It was also a "Plant the Town Red" night as a bed of red tulips was planted in front of the park polling place by members of the community.  The From the Ground Up group was also selling red tulip bulbs to the public.

As the clouds rolled in, the skies grew dark, but it didn't dampen the spirits of those in attendance.
