[October 07, 2013]  The Lincoln Christian University women's soccer team hosted Mount Mary College on Thursday at the LCU soccer field. LCU (3-5) controlled the game from the beginning, running away with a 14-1 victory.

The game started out fast for LCU, as they grabbed a quick lead in the first five minutes. By the end of the first half, LCU was up 7-0. Mount Mary began the second half on the offensive attack, as they quickly sent a wake-up call to LCU by scoring a goal within the first five minutes of the half. However, LCU responded by scoring seven more goals and shutting out Mount Mary for the rest of the game.

For the first time in the last four years, LCU women's soccer had two players who recorded five goals each. They were sophomore Mykenzie Witzke (Clinton/Olivet Nazarene University) and senior Moriah Kirkpatrick (Mount Vernon/John A. Logan Community College). Witzke and Kirkpatrick also recorded two assists each. Senior forward Jessica Hoskins (Hudson/Heartland Community College) scored two goals of her own and also recorded two assists. Junior Peri Tullock (Robinson/Robinson High) and senior Brooklyn Cunningham (Owosso, Mich./Owosso High) scored the remaining two goals.
