[October 10, 2013]  LOS ANGELES (AP) -- CBS is yanking the freshman sitcom "We Are Men" from its schedule.

The Monday night comedy about four bachelors starred Tony Shalhoub, Jerry O'Connell, Kal Penn and Chris Smith. It failed to gain traction with viewers and became one of the new season's early casualties.

"Well, We Were Men," Penn posted on his Twitter account after CBS' announcement Wednesday. "Loved our cast & crew. Much love to the peeps who watched & enjoyed."

O'Connell tweeted, "We Are Men cancelled. What a fun ride. Love those guys."

Starting next Monday, "2 Broke Girls" will replace "We Are Men" in the 8:30 p.m. EDT time slot, with repeats of "The Big Bang Theory" airing at 9 p.m. EDT for two weeks.

On Monday, Nov. 4, the sitcom "Mike & Molly" will return for its fourth-season premiere at 9 p.m. EDT. The series stars Melissa McCarthy and Billy Gardell.
