-- With a little over three weeks until the Illinois State men's and
women's basketball teams tip off their respective 2013-14 seasons,
Redbird fans had their first chance to see each squad in action at
Tuesday night's Hoopfest on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena.

The 2013-14 Hoopfest event consisted of team introductions, a 3-point
shooting challenge with three pairs of men's and women's
student-athletes, a 10-minute women's basketball scrimmage, a men's
basketball dunk showcase and a 10-minute men's basketball scrimmage.
The duo of Zach Lofton and Lindsay Smith won the 3-point shooting
competition, combining for nine treys. Meanwhile, Daishon Knight and
Alison Seberger were close behind with eight 3s, and Nick Zeisloft
and Katy Winge rounded out the competition with six 3-pointers.
In the women's scrimmage, Alexis Foley led the Red team to a
13-11 win with five points on 2-for-4 shooting and three rebounds.
Meanwhile, Stekara Hall shot 2 for 5 for four points and two
