Wednesday, several members of the Country Financial group were on hand outside the offices on South McLean Street to greet and thank all local first responders for their service to the Logan County community.

The meal was sponsored and paid for by company representatives and managers in Logan County. Representatives are Gerald Carter, Joe Ryan, Charlie Williams, Andy Stukins, Adam Nagrocki and Tony Bazen. Agency manager is Michael Kernaghan, and Kyle Hosick is associate agency manager.

It was a gray day and close to what one would call cold in the parking lot, but the aroma of barbecue from Hickory River Smokehouse drifted through the air, guiding several first responders to a great meal.

In addition, each first responder was invited to enter a drawing for a flat-screen television.

A future Assistant Chief Hanson?
Well, maybe.
