[October 19, 2013]  Anytime Fitness at 716 N. Logan will host a resting point Saturday noon for a group of cyclists as they make their way from Chicago to St. Louis. "Stop the Cycle" is a six-stage bicycle ride created to raise awareness of child abuse issues and raise funds to help Children's Advocacy Centers across Illinois.

The CAC continues to protect and provide services for abused children.

During the ride, participants of all levels will travel along historic Route 66 across Illinois for approximately 60 miles per day over six days. Riders may choose to ride in a single stage in their geographic area, participate in multiple stages or even ride in the entire "Stop the Cycle" event, from its start in northwest Cook County on Oct. 16 to its conclusion in St. Louis, Mo., on Oct. 21, for a total of 360 miles.

Anytime Fitness will provide drinks, food and rest stations for the cyclists.
